Public Works Information Management System (PWIMS)
In order to streamline and improve upon execution, monitoring and management of
projects and related works undertaken by department; bring efficiency, transparency
and accountability in project management; Department of Irrigation has decided to
implement Public Works Information Management System.
PWIMS aims to replace the existing manual system of paper based working and facilitate
Department of Irrigation to function in a transparent and efficient manner coupled
with effective monitoring and control over the projects being undertaken.
PWIMS will automate the Works Management functions ranging from estimation to implementation.
This in-turn will improve its Business processes and resolve the bottlenecks in
the existing system
Scope of PWIMS
The scope of PWIMS Application is limited to the Pre-Tendering Processes and Post Tendering Processes; i.e. Estimate Creation, Administrative Approval and Technical Sanction, Contract/Works Management and related approval processes.
Training Server for PWIMS
Employees can access the Training Server for detailed study about the PWIMS, The training has already been conduted at centralizaed location, Technical Co-ordinators posted at your offices will provide handholding support for successfull implementation of PWIMS
